There will be two sessions of six week beginners--1st session covers basic steps & turns, leading and following and the beat, 2nd session covers cross body lead and basic combos using the cross body lead. It's finally happening :) I've been talking of this for quite some time and with one thing and another I haven't felt comfortable doing so yet. Now, with Labor Day around the way, I decided that this would be the best time if indeed we were going to do this. So this will start the first Thursday after Labor Day. August 2nd, the first Thursday, will remain as-is as a Beginners class and will start @ 9:00 p.m.

Starting Aug 9th we will be having beginners class from 8-8:45 p.m., and Intermediates from 9-10 p.m. every week. It will still remain $5 per class, $10 for both.

A new event comes to Washington, DC. A combination Salsa and Hustle Night is reminiscent of dancing in the 70s. Hustle which grew out of the New York Latin dance scene was part of salsa nights. Join Eileen and Earl as we take you back to the days of the Golden Age of Salsa combined with the sounds of Donna Summers, The Tramps, Sylvester, Evelyn “Champagne” King, The Salsoul Orchestra and more. Dance lessons at 7:00 pm feature 20 minutes of salsa basics, followed by 20 minutes of hustle basics followed by 20 minutes to learn hustle tricks with David Flynn and partner. DJ Henry Knowles from New York takes us on a return musical journey to the great days of the 70s.

Just Neighbors focuses on serving immigrant victims of abuse and other crimes so they can remain with their children, work in the United States, and live independently of the abuser. The clients come from over 115 countries, reflecting the diversity of Northern Virginia.
